Writer's Block: Take this job and shove it ...

Have you ever walked off a job on the spot? What drove you to it? Did you regret it afterwards?

Yes a long time ago. Do I regreat it no. It was making flap jacks and the people was mean, the boss was a dick, and the job was boring.

Writer's Block: Holiday blues

What is the most emotionally challenging aspect of the holidays for you? Do you enjoy this season more or less than you did as a child?

I enjoyed chirstmas more when I was kid. Who didn't? I used to get loads of toys and shit, and then my Nan used to knit me these aweful jumpers, and those mittins on string that the bullies used to pull so you hit your self in the face. And when I was really young we didn't have a video recorder so I used to look forward to watching the wizard of oz because that was on every year, but then my Nan would make me watch the Queens speech, that was boring.

I used to love how I got to stop up the night before after Nine, and put out a mince pie and a glass of cherry for santa. It was always more exciting when you beleaved in Santa, even though I was worried about my best friend who lived in a council flat, we was always told Santa came down the cinmy and she didn't have one. My mum told me Santa had a key that could get into any house.

Now I pretty much only get christmas day off and thats it. Christmas day is hard work and there always seems to be a family fight and I found out that Santa isn't really. That was last night so damn Christmas will be sad this year. On the plus side the Doctor Who christmas speacel is on. Woot

Has everyone seen the Being Human cover on the current issue of SFX??

OM NOM NOM DELICIOUS )

Asfhlkahfalfhalfdskkkllllllll. My boyfriend gets the magazine delivered, so our version has no text or anything on it, and he just brought it in to show me and I almost swallowed my tongue. COME BACK TO ME, SHOW.

Also I thought both the Glee mid-season finale and Modern Family Christmas episode were both spectacularly awesome. Yay tv! :D :D

Writer's Block: Forever young

If cryogenics became a real, affordable option (i.e., if you could freeze your body until aging and illnesses were better understood), would you consider it? If so, do you fear you'd miss out on the wisdom that comes with growing old and dying?

No I wouldn't want to be frozen. For one I might be brought back hundreds of years later where socity as totally changed, I mean look at socity a hundred years ago and I knew that seems a long time ago but in the time line of humans it's a pretty sort time. Only in the 1970s it was still exceptible to have racist, homophobic and sexist comerdys on tv. And people from my grand ma generation still call asian people and aferican's darkys. My grandma once told me how it was the shock of the town because one of her friends dated a "Black". You proberly wondering where I'm going with this, well today most people don't blink a eye at inter racial relationships, or people saying there gay. Weastern socity as totally changed so imagain how much it would have changed in another hundread years, would you really fit in.

Then of course there's the beleave that you're soul leaves your body. I don't know if I beleave this or not but imagain coming back with no soul. Of course I don't know what a soul does but I like to beleave it tells us whats right and wrong, even most children from a very early age know the basics of right and wrong.

Would we come back not us at all, rather like some zombie with no feelings. I don't want to take this into the sci-fi relm but really could it happen? Either way I wouldn't want to risk it.

Writer's Block: Role model

Is there any character from a novel or film that serves as a role model to you? What kind of advice do you think she or he would give you regarding any major issues you're facing right now?

Lestat all the way. He would probely tell me to bite people face's off, and even though I'm tempted it would be very productive.

I don't usually post the results of these kinds of memes, but this one cracked me up:

Climb in the back with your head in the bexless,
and you're gone.

LOL. Amazing.

Non-fic recs:

I've been meaning to mention [info]fox1013's fabulous Yuletide collage countdown Each Peach Pear Fandom. It's so fun! And witty and smart and cool and there is/will eventually be something for EVVVVERYONE I am sure :D :D :D Go check it out! All the previous entries are linked from each new post. I love it.

Another daily joy-bringer is the Daily Puzzle over at [info]mecurtin's Good Book of the Day. Today's is especially extra super-cute: I currently do the puzzles on medium but I think I am going to try to upgrade to hard (lol hard) soon. I like them because they have all the good parts of jigsaws but are a different picture every time, and plus it is impossible to lose a vital piece to the vacuum. \o/

So I know I mentioned this before...

So I made a post a while back about how a lot of communitys in certain fandoms have become a little to strict. And there seem's to be a declain in fic because people are getting scared to post so may I present...

Hi flist, happy Monday! I am in a good mood. I had a great weekend, and this morning I woke up to such fun things in my inbox! Sweet feedback emails, fascinating stories to give notes on, a lunchdate booked with my BFF, and A MILLION SNOWFLAKE COOKIES IN MY PROFILE :D :D :D thank you named senders and anonymice both! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

And also some AMAZING UNHOLYVERSE FANART, which is pretty much always my favourite way to start the day. The two pieces are here, by [info]reflectedeve and they are just fabulous. I love her art so much. SO MUCH.

Here are two recs I have been meaning to make:

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE FANDOM: Haven't you ever sat around and thought, man, this fandom is pretty much the best fandom that ever there was, but wouldn't it be so much better if someone wrote a fifty-two thousand word epic where Frank and Gerard are WEREWOLF SOULMATES? I KNOW I HAVE. And now it is here! It was posted right before Thanksgiving weekend so I thought maybe some people might not have seen it.

I Was Your Silver Lining by [info]shoemaster and [info]theopteryx

Art for the story here by [info]theopteryx

It's NC-17, Frank/Gerard, and there are warnings and notes at the top of Shoe's post. It is a gorgeous sprawling beautiful heart-stabby super-romantic delicious read of wonderfulness, the kind of universe you want to live in forever and never leave. You guys it incorporates all the best parts of historical au, high school au, magical au, and OTP FOREVER. I love it, I love it, I love it. You will too.

IDOL: Bridge by [info]olivia_circe

NC-17 sequel to Bingo, as part of a series I like to call The Games Compendium for Boys and Girls. It's Adam/Kris with background Adam/Kris/Katy. I am completely enamoured with this entire thing. I love it so much! This is a bondage PWP on the surface but there's so much twisty gorgeousness going on underneath, om nom nom.

Whee, goodfic by my favourite people! Always a pleasure :D I've been having a little case of the pre-Christmas homesick blues recently, but now I feel cheery and full of spirit. I'm going to go and make a playlist of all my obnoxious Christmas music, which is A LOT. I really love Christmas, you guys. *throws glitter!*
